Colour Correction

This tutorial with guide you through how to edit a photograph, to make the colours more vibrant.:

1. Open your original image in Photoshop
2. Select the Background and right click it, from the menu select duplicate. Or alternatively press Ctrl + J while the Background layer is selected
3. With the duplicated layer selected go to Layer then select Layer Mask then Reveal All
4. Without selecting anything else click Image, then Apply Image

Use these settings:

Layer: Merged
Channel: RGB
Invert: Unticked
Blending: Multiply
Opacity: 100%
Preserve Transparency: Unticked
Mask...: Unticked

Then Press OK

Now press Ctrl + J again to duplicate this layer with the mask

So now you have 3 layers.

Layer 1 copy
Layer 1
Background

Select Layer 1 copy, then set the blending mode to Screen

Select Layer 1, then set the blending mode to Multiply

Then click the Background layer and go to Image, Adjustments, Shadow/Highlight

Set Shadows to 20% and highlights to 100%

You can change these settings to match your needs. Change the shadows amount and highlight amout. You can also play around with opacity of the 2 layers
