This tutorial with guide you through how to make a magnifying glass over one of your pictures:
| 1. |
Open your image you wish to apply the magnifying glass to. |
| 2. |
Create a new layer and create a circle with the color set to #808080. This circle should be the size you want the lens to be. |
| 3. |
Set the blending mode to Vivid Light. |
| 4. |
At this point you will see that your circle has disappeared. This is the "magic" color. With the color of #808080 set to Vivid Light it will turn invisible. Now right click the layer and click Blending Options. |
| 5. |
For the blending options add an inner shadow with default settings. |
| 7. |
Right click the layer and select Clear Layer Style. |
| 8. |
Expand this by pressing Ctrl + T then settings the width to 110% then click the link button next to it to scale it. Then press the tick. |
| 9. |
Ctrl + Click the layer preview of the lens and delete from duplicated layer. This will give you the outside of the magnifying glass. I set the color of it to #3D3D3D. |
| 10. |
Now draw out a handle and move it in to position. |
| 11. |
Ctrl + click the layer preview of your lens layer and select the background layer. |
| 12. |
Go to Filter » Distort » Spherize and set to 80% then press OK.
