Creative continue to release poor drivers - No shock there then

Creative Logo Creative continue to release absolutely shitty drivers for the X-Fi range and I am sure their other ranges as well. After finding certain parts of the audio configuration weren't available I decided to reinstall the drivers. While reinstalling I checked the Creative website and found there was a new beta driver out from January 08.

I thought there can't be that much wrong with them, I am sure they can't be any worse than the old drivers.

Ha ha ha. I really am stupid.

The beta drivers really are shit. They are even worse than the "stable" yes I said stable about Creative's drivers. And after 3 BSOD's from various DLL's from the new beta drivers I thought it was time to stop trying to install them. That's right, I hadn't even got to the point where I could fully install them.

So a couple of restarts later and a little bit of help from the good old Driver Cleaner Pro, I was able to reinstall the old Creative drivers which in some ways work...well I can hear sound.
