1. |
Open Photoshop and create a new image, I am using 1024x768 |
2. |
Firstly take a screenshot of your desktop or a website so that you can use it on the screen. This will also make the scale of the screen right. |
3. |
Paste the picture in to the document and transform it to the size you want by pressing CTRL + T Place the screenshot near the middle of the canvas. |
4. |
Ctrl + Click the screenshot layer. Go to Select » Modify » Expand and set to 10px. |
5. |
Create a new layer and place in under the screenshot layer. Fill it with #999999 |
6. |
Ctrl + Click the screenshots layer again and delete it from the new layer we created. |
7. |
Right click the layer and click Blending Options.
Blend Mode Color: #000000
Stroke Color: #888888 |
8. |
Ctrl + Click the screenshot layer again, but this time expand by 35px |
9. |
Fill this with #aaaaaa on another new layer under the rest of the layers. |
10. |
Ctrl + Click the screenshot layer and delete this from the new layer and do the same with the inner bevel layer. |
11. |
Now apply these blending options to the layer.
Inner Glow Color: #CCCCCC
Pattern is one of the included patterns in Photoshop CS2. |
11. |
You should now have something like this:
|
12. |
Now to create the stand. With the polygon lasso tool draw out half of the stand and fill with #000000 on a new layer just above the background layer. |
13. |
Duplicate this layer and put it next to the original, this gives a perfect symmetry on the stand.
|
14. |
Right click the layer and select the blending mode.
Inner Shadow Color: #333333 |
15. |
Select the eliptical marquee tool and create an elipse for the bottom of the stand.
|
16. |
Duplicate this layer and press Ctrl + T and shrink it around 80%. |
17. |
Ctrl + Click the bigger layer and fill with #AAAAAA |
18. |
Duplicate this layer and change the colour of it to #CCCCCC and move it below the layer with #AAAAAA |
19. |
Select the Move Tool then press Ctrl + J while you have the #CCC layer selected and press down repeat this 5 times. |
20. |
